After years of keeping quiet over allegations that he snatched the girlfriend of Okay FM’s presenter Nana Romeo, Prophet Nigel Gaisie has finally broken his silence on the controversy.
The founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel addressed the long-standing issue during an interview on Neat FM’s morning show with Kaakyire Kofi Badu.
He recounted his relationship with the broadcaster and explained how their once-close friendship eventually fell apart.

According to Nigel Gaisie, Nana Romeo was initially like a son to him before their relationship developed into a close friendship. He explained that the two shared a strong bond and had several mutual friends, including some prominent personalities within the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The preacher further disclosed that their association was strengthened by their political connections and his conviction at the time that John Dramani Mahama would eventually return to power as President of Ghana. He said these shared relationships made them part of a close circle of friends.
Nigel Gaisie further revealed that their friendship was so strong that Nana Romeo could comfortably approach him for financial assistance whenever he found himself in difficult situations. He said he offered whatever support he could on two separate occasions when the broadcaster reached out to him for help.
The preacher suggested that Romeo could have benefited significantly from their continued relationship, considering the closeness they shared and the people within their mutual circle. However, he said he was surprised that their friendship ended with allegations that he had snatched the broadcaster’s girlfriend.
Addressing the central allegation, Nigel Gaisie firmly denied having an affair with Romeo’s partner. He insisted that the claims were untrue and questioned why the radio presenter chose to make the matter public instead of using some of the mutual friends they both respected to resolve their differences privately.
He also dismissed the possibility of being romantically interested in the woman Romeo was referring to, claiming that he does not particularly like fair-complexioned women and that the lady in question was far removed from his preference. He maintained that the allegation could not be true.
Nigel Gaisie stressed that he was speaking as a prophet and would not lie about the matter, maintaining his denial of the accusations.
The preacher was also asked whether he would be willing to forgive Nana Romeo and make peace with him if the broadcaster expressed a desire to reconcile.
In response, Nigel Gaisie disclosed that he had already forgiven Romeo and was prepared to sit down with him to settle their differences. He indicated that he had no problem meeting the broadcaster to resolve the misunderstanding and possibly restore the relationship they once enjoyed.
The controversy dates back to April 2023, when Nana Romeo, during an interview on Stacy Amoateng’s Restoration programme, accused the preacher of having an affair with his girlfriend after he introduced them.
Romeo recounted that he initially developed a close relationship with Nigel Gaisie after interviewing him about a prophecy concerning the death of musician Ebony Reigns. He claimed that the friendship eventually became so strong that he regularly helped arrange musical performances for the preacher’s church.
According to Romeo, the situation changed after he introduced his girlfriend to Nigel Gaisie. He alleged that the preacher subsequently began communicating with the woman and taking her out on lunch dates without his knowledge.
He further claimed that some junior pastors of the church alerted him to what was allegedly happening, leading to a confrontation with the preacher.
Following the public allegations, Nigel Gaisie reportedly took legal action against Nana Romeo and Stacy Amoateng at the High Court in Amasaman, describing the claims as false. Ghana Guardian +2
Nana Romeo later maintained that the incident had permanently damaged their friendship, even suggesting in a July 2024 interview with blogger Zionfelix that he could not imagine restoring the relationship.
