The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has expressed optimism about his team’s chances of beating Heart of Lions in their mid-week Ghana Premier League clash.

The team from Tarkwa will face the Kpando-based outfit on Wednesday, April 16, to clear their outstanding Week 22 fixture in the Ghanaian top-flight league.

Speaking to Medi TV in a pre-match interview, Coach Ibrahim Tanko assured fans that his team will fight for at least a point from the game.

“We are going to do our best. There are no guarantees in football, but we are definitely going there to take a point or to win. I believe the boys are now confident that we can win away games as well. So, we are definitely going there to come back with something,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko said.

Wednesday’s Ghana Premier League match between Heart of Lions and Medeama SC is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

A win for either side will strengthen their challenge for the league title.
