Ghanaian artiste manager and entertainment pundit Bullgod

Ghanaian artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod has slammed the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, for stating that former president, Mahama did not initiate any project while he was a vice president.

In a discussion on Hitz FM on November 21, 2024, Bullgod noted that Mark Okraku has little experience in politics, therefore, he should be mindful when critiquing the former president.

“When he sat here earlier, he (Okraku-Mantey) said beginners are now advising veterans in the industry and it isn’t right. Using Shatta Wale as an example, he said the young folks can’t advise Shatta. When you asked him what he has done as a deputy minister, he said he can’t do much because he can only advise his boss on a decision.

“So, he has no right to question Mahama because he is a baby politician when it comes to Mahama. The way nobody can tell Zapp Mallet when it comes to music production is the same way he can’t tell Mahama anything,” he said.

Bullgod added that he would vote for Mark Okraku-Mantey to become a substantive minister because Andrew Egypa Mercer has little ideas about what the job entails.

“I think if you are not careful in government people would start to smear your good work for bad. I was telling someone that I would vote for you as a substantive minister because the new person in charge doesn’t know what the work is about.

“The problem is they put a substantive minister there politically who doesn’t know what the job is about for the deputies to give them advice but they don’t take the advice,” he added.

Background:

Mark Okraku -Mantey in the same interview on Hitz FM expressed his dissatisfaction with entertainment pundits and up-and-coming artistes who are quick to judge veterans in the country.

Mark noted that some people are impulsive in advising veterans, even though such individuals have less experience and knowledge.

“In the creative industry in Ghana, you would see someone who has done one job and has less experience advising me on how to do my job. It is the beginners who are advising the veterans and that must change. I am a role model to your role model, so if you have not done any project in the arts, how would you appreciate my pain? But you have been given the microphone to advise me, and another veteran who has bigger achievement than you,” he said.
