New Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), Beeztrap KOTM, has declared that Kumasi is Ghana’s number one hub for musical talent.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo, the “Fly Girl” hitmaker shared his thoughts on which city in Ghana has produced the most talents. While some people have argued in favour of Tema and others in favour of Accra, Beeztrap stood with Kumasi.
He explained that from the old generation of legendary musicians to the new wave of hitmakers, Kumasi has always been at the centre of talent in Ghana’s music industry.
“If we take a deep look back in time, during Daddy Lumba’s time, it was Kumasi, Sarkodie’s time, and Okyeame Kwame’s time, it was Kumasi,” Beeztrap KOTM shared.
According to him, the trend has not changed and in Ghana’s music industry today, Kumasi is still leading the way, especially with the rise of the Asakaa movement and several other artistes.
“Right now, the music is in Kumasi, and all the boys are in Kumasi. We have Oseikrom Sikani, Asakaa, King Paluta, Amerado, Strongman, and a whole lot of others,” he said.
Beeztrap added, “If we are been honest, Kumasi has produced more artistes than any other region,” he stated.
