Archipalago denies seeking collaboration with Kuami Eugene

Ghanaian social media personality, Archipalago, has denied claims by Kuami Eugene that he once reached out to him for a collaboration.

According to Archipalago, he never asked Kuami Eugene to work with him on any song, and believes the singer is not someone he would consider approaching for such a request.

One would recall that Kuami Eugene claimed that Archipalago contacted someone and requested to speak to him about a potential collaboration.

“After the interview, I was going back to my hotel, and the presenter said I should drop her off on the way. While we were going to drop her off, Archipalago called her to say that he heard I was in the studio, and that he had a song he wanted to do with me so she should give the phone to me so he could talk to me. And I said I wouldn’t talk to him,” Kuami Eugene recounted.

He explained that he chose not to talk to Archipalago because he was already on a call with his mother at the time and didn’t appreciate the pressure to hang up and take another call.

“He wanted me to cut the call with my mum and talk to him. And I said I wouldn’t do that. The lady even told him I was doing something so I would call back. I don’t know if he didn’t hear that well,” Kuami Eugene said.

However, speaking extensively on this, Archipalago said, “Kuami Eugene cannot have a beef with me; he is just a small boy. What he said on the station is a lie. He lied about me asking for a collaboration with him. I haven’t even approached top artists like Samini, Shatta Wale, and Sarkodie for collaborations, so why would I approach smaller artists like him, Kidi, and others? I have a plan for how I want to rise in the industry, and I intend to do it on my own.”

He added, “I have never asked Kuami Eugene to collaborate on any music with me.”
