Kofi Kinaata has revealed that he has chosen to live meat-free for 25 years.
In a December 9, 2025, interview on Hitz FM, the Ghanaian artiste opened up about his diet, pets, and the lifestyle choices that define him.
Kinaata indicated that while he enjoys having animals around, his busy schedule no longer allows him to keep dogs.
“Cat is not my favorite pet; I prefer dogs. I love animals so much. I used to have dogs but due to my busy schedules, I gave all out,” he explained.

His deep affection for animals also guides his eating habits, leading him to avoid meat entirely, with fish as the only exception.
Although he did not reveal the original reason behind his choice, Kofi Kinaata stressed that it has become a defining part of his life.
“I have rabbits, birds and cats. I can only eat fish. I don’t take meat. I haven’t eaten meat for over 25 years,” he divulged.
