Nana Romeo expressed disappointment in Paluta’s behaviour and refusal to apologise

Popular Ghanaian media personality, Nana Romeo, has scolded rapper King Paluta following a viral incident in the UK, where the artiste verbally abused a female fan during a performance at a charity event.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on July 12, 2025, Romeo expressed disappointment in Paluta’s behaviour and refusal to apologise, stating that UK laws could have held him accountable.

“I am disappointed that up till now, King Paluta has yet to apologise. It’s like he feels he is the boss and doesn’t owe anyone an explanation.

“He is even lucky. Laws work in the UK; the lady could have taken legal action against him for verbal abuse,” he stated.

He added that Paluta’s attitude is part of a wider issue among Ghanaian artistes who tend to become arrogant when they acquire fame.

“A lot of artistes in the industry are very arrogant. When you listen to them during their interviews, you would see that they do not know anything, nor do they respect.

“It is like when they get fame, they feel on top of the world, but the moment the fame comes down, they are left wanting,” he said.

Nana Romeo called on King Paluta and his team to issue an apology, warning that the incident may have consequences.

“If, because of this incident, he doesn’t get any shows to perform at, he should not blame anybody.

“The advice I can give him, by Monday, he and his team should come out and apologise, else, it would go against them,” he said.

He further warned artistes to control their emotions and guard against arrogance as fame rises.

“So I’d advise people to learn from this incident. Anything you want to say, think about it first. Whether you like it or not, the job you are doing is a people job.

“You have to interact with people, and you may not like everybody, but the best you can do is to calm yourself down before you react,” he urged.
