Media personality and entertainment pundit, DJ Slim, has alleged that musician, King Paluta, has fallen out with nearly all the key industry figures who once supported him, making it difficult for anyone to call him to order.
DJ Slim made these comments on GhanaWeb’s X Space on July 11, 2025, during a discussion on the title, “Managing Emotions on Stage and Audience’s Role in Triggering Artistes.”
The conversation was sparked by an incident involving King Paluta at an All-White Party in London.
The Kumasi-based rapper, who was billed to perform at the event, caused a stir when he lashed out at a female fan during his performance.
According to him, the fan gave him a “side eye” while he was on stage, which triggered a reaction from the musician that many have since described as inappropriate and unprofessional.
A video from the show, shared online, showed the rapper halting his performance to rain insults on the fan in question.
Weighing in on the discussions, DJ Slim expressed concern about how the situation could affect King Paluta’s brand and image.
He stressed that the rapper needs guidance but believes there’s currently no one in the industry who can step in and offer that.
“Because as it stands now, I do not know anybody who can sit him down and talk to him. Because most of his godfathers, he has disrespected them, so, I do not know who can talk to him,” DJ Slim said.
He suggested that King Paluta’s behaviour might be the result of being overwhelmed by fame, a situation he says is not uncommon for artistes who are experiencing a rapid rise in their careers.
“I have dealt with artistes from the group up, and some of these things are as a result of fame. People experience fame for the first time and cannot handle it… we can only pray for him,” he added.
