Former Black Stars midfielder, Kevin-Prince Boateng has opened up about his estranged relationship with his junior brother Jerome Boateng.

According to KP Boateng, his jealousy over his younger brother’s illustrious club and national team career is one of the reasons their relationship has remained strained.

The former AC Milan and Barcelona forward revealed that he and Jerome didn’t have a good relationship as kids and that fueled his jealousy.

“We never had a good relationship because we were very opposite like he was very competitive over me. Then i saw him become a superstar and i always felt that he didn’t deserve it.”

“Because i was the one taking bad steps, he could follow me and avoid the bad steps so i made the pathway for him so i felt he didn’t deserve it,” he added.

KP Boateng added that he has asked his brother for forgiveness for feeling bitter about his success.

“So i was bitter about it, anyways i went to ask him for forgiveness as well that if i was ever jealous or if i didn’t want him to deserve it i asked him for forgiveness but we still don’t have a connection.”
