Back in 2023, there were a lot of headlines surrounding the shocking exit of talented musician Lasmid from the Highly Spiritual Music label after four years of being with the label.

At the time, the CEO of the label music producer and sound engineer, David Kojo Kyei, popularly known as Kaywa, mentioned that it was due to some internal feud issues.

Well, after two years, Kaywa has finally provided the actual details of what the feud he spoke about is.

In an interview on the Hitz FM’s Afternoon Ride show hosted by Andy Dosty, Kaywa revealed that he actually signed Lasmid on a one-year contract immediately after the MTN Hitmaker show.

However after their contract ended, he still kept Lasmid on and they continue to work, even though they didn’t not have any signed deal despite talks to get him officially signed again.

Kaywa further disclosed that just when was all was set for everything to to be made final because he had recorded about six songs with Lasmid already.

However, that could not happened because other artistes on Highly Spiritual Music label at the time were uncomfortable with the idea of Lasmid rejoining the label because they thought the label did not have enough money to cater for all of them.
