Ghanaian rapper Medikal recently opened up about his personal views on relationships, fatherhood, and some controversies surrounding his past during an episode of the popular Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast, as monitored by MyNewsGH.

Hosted by Gisela Amponsah, Princess, and Efia Odo, the episode provided raw and unfiltered insights into the rapper’s private life.

Medikal began by discussing his stance on intimacy, candidly stating, “I like to have raw sex. If I’m with my partner, then it’s only her I can do that with. But condoms? Nah, I’d rather masturbate.”

When asked about his perspective on sharing passwords with partners, Medikal expressed his reservations.

“Oh, I’ve done that before, years ago. But now? There’s no need. You just have to trust the person. Why should I give you my password? What if you’re texting another girl? If you need to change the music in the car, I’ll do it for you,” he said, laughing at the idea.

On the topic of fatherhood, the rapper shared how his three-year-old daughter, Island, has influenced his life and decisions.

“Island is one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me. She hasn’t been a hindrance to anything. She’s too young to know what’s going on, but I’m very personal about my family. I’ll always make sure Island and her mom are good. I won’t do anything to endanger them.”

Medikal also touched on the dynamics of co-parenting and relationships after a breakup.

“If I love you, it’s not because of a child. Nobody can trap me with a child. Relationships and marriages are different. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t mean we failed as parents.”
