Ghanaian comedian and optometrist, OB Amponsah, has taken a firm stance on his relationship with entertainment critic Koka in a social media post following the 2024 general elections.

The elections has seen the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) suffer a crushing defeat at the hands of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) even though the electoral commission is yet to officially declare the final results.

In a Facebook post, OB Amponsah in his quest to mock the ruling party humorously remarked saying, “Wo pɛ sɛ wo winni elections but wo campaign manager yɛ KOKA? Lmao. That was when I knew Bawumia had lost it. Koka?” The post quickly gained traction, sparking a conversation among his followers.

In the comments section of his post, a follower cautioned the comedian against making such statements, suggesting that he might one day need Koka due to his influence in the entertainment industry. .

However, OB Amponsah sharply replied, “I will never need Koka, mark it.”

This firm declaration of the award-winning comedian comes against the backdrop of a longstanding feud between himself and Koka, an entertainment critic who also works with the Frytol company.

It is alleged that Koka played a significant role in OB Amponsah losing a sponsorship deal with Frytol ahead of one of his comedy specials.

The fallout, reportedly stemming from Koka’s personal vendetta against the comedian, created a rift between the two, which OB Amponsah has openly acknowledged on several occasions.
