    Popular content creator Ola of Lagos has shared a candid revelation about how his generosity landed him in a massive financial crisis.

    During an online conversation, he disclosed that a business he started, not out of pity but simply because he was ‘too nice,’ resulted in an ₦18 million debt.

    The experience was a harsh wake-up call for the content creator, who admitted it changed the way he approaches kindness and business.

    He emphasized that although he still shows love to the streets, he now does it with wisdom and caution.

    “I once did a business, not really out of pity but out of being too nice, and it left me with an ₦18 million debt.

    Imagine having to pull ₦18 million from your pocket to settle a debt you shouldn’t have incurred in the first place.

    It makes no sense. That experience made me decide never to be too nice again. Of course, I still show love to the streets, but now I do it with sense.” He said.

    His revelation quickly sparked conversations online, with many commending his honesty while others pointed out the risks that come with blind generosity.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “This is my current mindset… I have been too nice that I was trampled upon… So no more.”

    “Yeah, Kindness can cause you pain, too. It happened to me, I ended up paying money that I didn’t spend.”

    “I said this all the time, but people say I’m rude It will cost you more to be nice The day you choose to stop pleasing people and start pleasing yourself that is the day you open a new world for yourself It doesn’t pay to be nice at all Just be yourself and make sure whatever you do benefit you first before anything or anyone.”
