Angel Asiamah is husband of jailed evangelist Nana Agradaa

In an address to his congregation at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, Angel Asiamah, husband of jailed evangelist Nana Agradaa, said that he was taken aback by reports that his wife was playing the drums in prison.

He said a video surfaced showing a pastor preaching inside Nsawam Prison with Agradaa behind the pulpit as a drummer.

“I saw a video of a pastor who said he had gone to Nsawam Prison to preach to the inmates there and had seen my wife playing the drums at the church.

“I was like, ‘Eii’, I knew my wife could pray, I knew she could preach; I didn’t know she was a powerful drummer,” he told worshippers.

Despite her incarceration, Asiamah noted that Agradaa continues her evangelical work behind bars.

He added that he was happy to hear that Agradaa was in high spirits and actively participating in worship.

“I was happy to hear that Agradaa was not feeling sad and crying in prison. Praise be to God that she was leading the church service with prayers and everything else. She even played the drums. It indicates that she shall succeed in her battle,” he said.

Nana Agradaa, whose real name is Patricia Asiedua, was sentenced in July 2025 to 15 years in prison with hard labour after being convicted of fraud and charlatanic advertisement charges.
