Ghanaian musician Samuel Ofori Amponsah has opened up about some of the toughest comments he has encountered on social media.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Joy Prime on November 6, 2025, Ofori Amponsah talked about the emotional toll negative comments and false accusations on social media have had on him.
According to Ofori Amponsah, some netizens went as far as accusing him of causing the death of his late friend and fellow musician, Kofi B.
“Someone once wrote that I killed my brother Kofi B for music. All these things, I salute Daddy Lumba because of the things people do to him.
“He is so tough and has a thick skin. Imagine someone accusing you of killing someone. It’s not easy at all,” he said.

He stated that the constant backlash, insults, and baseless accusations forced him to withdraw from social media for the sake of his peace of mind.
“I normally don’t react because I’m not into it. I ran away from social media because of the insults and accusations. Sometimes, I read a comment and it breaks me,” he shared.
Ofori Amponsah noted that over time, he has learned not to take such comments personally, emphasising the importance of developing emotional resilience in the entertainment industry.
“I’ve come to understand that I don’t need to take social media backlash to heart. It’s all part of the game,” he added.
