Ghanaian musician, Derrick Osei Kuffour Prempeh, popularly known as Kofi Jamar, has taken to social media to accuse GADone, a record label he is signed to, of neglecting him.
In a series of posts on X on August 1, 2025, Kofi Jamar claimed that GADone Records has sidelined him since last year, even though their contract officially ends in 2025.
According to the musician, he has reached out to the record label numerous times, seeking clarity on his future; however, every effort has proven futile.
“I’m no longer with @GADoneRecords. For those who’ve been asking, our contract ends legally this year, and they stopped reaching out since last year. It’s not fair when you ignore an artiste approaching the end of a contract. At least I need closure. I reached out several times but to no avail,” he said.
Kofi Jamar, in his post, claimed he had fulfilled all demands stated in his contract with the record label, adding that he signed to the label to advance his career and not to throw his life away.
According to him, he would appreciate it if both parties settle the matter amicably.
“I never signed my life away. I fulfilled and did everything that was required of me. I would appreciate it if we could sit down and talk about the remainder of the contract and part ways peacefully. But not hearing anything from the label’s end over a year is cruel,” he added.
