Agya Koo is a veteran Kumawood actor

Veteran Kumawood actor Agya Koo has stated that friendship has always been a mystery to him, admitting that despite his years in the spotlight, he has never learned how to keep one.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM, the Kumawood actor explained that he has always preferred solitude since childhood and finds it difficult to connect with people on a personal level.

According to him, the only person he ever considered a true friend in the was his colleague in the movie industry, Akrobeto.

Agya Koo explained that although he and Akrobeto used to be very close, they rarely meet now because of how unpredictable life has become.

He, however, acknowledged that Akrobeto still reaches out to him sometimes over the phone to check on him and talk about life.

The actor also spoke about his relationship with colleagues in the movie industry, admitting that he often keeps to himself on set.

He disclosed that once filming is over ver, he would go straight home instead of socializing with other actors or crew members.

Agya Koo further mentioned that he barely steps out of his house, describing himself as someone who is used to isolation.

He noted that he spends most of his time indoors and hardly even goes outside to “see how the sun looks like.”

“Since I was young, I’ve never really had a friend and I do not have any friend. The only person I ever considered a friend, someone I could visit, eat with, and share things like clothes and time with, was Akrobeto. But as life would have it, we don’t meet as often anymore.

“Still, he makes the effort to check on me, and we talk about many things. Honestly, I don’t know how to build friendships or how people just sit around and chat. I’ve never known how that’s done,” he said.
