The confrontation between Prophet Kumchacha and media personality Nana Romeo on United Showbiz became a huge topic of discussion on social.
Many will recall that on Saturday, January 25, 2025, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, and Nana Romeo engaged in a heated argument on United Showbiz after the latter dismissed Kumchacha’s claim that he was the first to hear about journalist Kofi Adomah’s eye injury.
According to Kumchacha, he had received exclusive information about the incident before it became public knowledge.
However, Nana Romeo, in a dismissive manner, rubbished the claim, triggering a fiery exchange between the two that nearly turned into a fistfight.
After weeks of being silent on the whole drama that many saw on UTV, Prophet Kumchacha, in an interview with Zionfelix that was shared on February 18, 2025, once again labeled Nana Romeo, who is the host of Accra FM’s midmorning show, as disrespectful and someone who hates to be criticized.
He added that if he was given the opportunity that day, he would have disciplined the media personality for his ckonduct on live television.
“Romeo is a stupid boy. It was only God who saved him on UTV that day. I would have beaten him. I am a humble and respectful person; however, I won’t let people take my respect for granted. Romeo is fond of talking about people but hates it when people criticize him. I would have slapped him on TV if given the chance,” he fumed.
The Heaven’s Gate Ministries founder further explained that being a man of God does not mean he would tolerate insults and disrespect from people because he is not Jesus Christ.
“If I preach and you don’t listen, I don’t care because you are not my relative. I am not one of those pastors who would sit and allow people to hurl insults and disrespect them all in the name of God. I am not Jesus,” he charged.
