Veteran Ghanaian actor and film producer Abeiku Sagoe has hinted that the issue concerning the Ghana Actors Guild, which began in 2018, will soon come to an end.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM, the movie producer, who is one of the complainants, disclosed that the matter would be resolved by the end of the year.
“I wish the Ghana Actors Guild all the best. As I said, I am one of the founders, and I cannot see or wish for its collapse while I am alive. We went to court basically to stop what we thought was an irregular action. And I can assure you that by the end of the year, where we have reached with the court matter, I think we should be done with it,” he said.
The actor, well-known for his “Back Home from Justice” production, noted that the only thing hindering the court from delivering its verdict is the mention of a new witness.
“All the pleadings have been taken, except that a name was mentioned who was not part of the original witnesses. Therefore, the court subpoenaed him to come over, and after that, the next step will be for the lawyers from both sides to give their addresses,” he added.
