Assistant coach of Basake Holy Stars Rashad Musah has praised his side’s performance on the back of their goalless draw against Vision FC in their Ghana Premier League match-week 27 clash at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park.

It was a tightly contested encounter with both teams showing good control in possession, but chances were limited as neither side managed to find the breakthrough.

The result sees Holy Stars move into eighth position on the table with 37 points, strengthening their position in the top half of the standings.

The enterprising gaffer commended his players for their effort, acknowledging the difficulty of the fixture and the quality of the opposition.

“First of all, let me congratulate my boys for giving us a very good fight because we knew very well that the game was not going to be an easy one, because we know how good Vision FC are. In the first round, they pulled a surprise, so when we were coming, the idea was to come and take all three points or at least take a point here,” he said.

He further highlighted the importance of the point earned away from home, stressing that it felt like a win given their position on the table.

“So getting a point here away from home, it looks like we have gotten all three points considering where we are on the league table. We don’t want to drop any points to drop down on the league table, so it’s a fantastic and good job from my boys,” he added

Basake Holy Stars will now turn their attention to their next fixture, where they host Karela United as they aim to maintain their momentum.
