Accra Hearts of Oak host Asante Kotoko on Sunday, May 5, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium in what is expected to be another fiery edition of Ghana’s most iconic football rivalry — the Super Clash.

With both clubs still in the title race, fans are set to generate a thrilling atmosphere as Ghana’s two most successful teams go head-to-head once again.

Kotoko comes into the game with a bit more momentum. They defeated Aduana Stars 1-0 in their last fixture after four winless games that led to the sacking of Prosper Ogum.

The Porcupine Warriors have looked revitalised under Zito and boast a strong record against Hearts of Oak, having won their last three meetings.

Hearts of Oak, meanwhile, have been inconsistent all season, and head coach Aboubakar Ouattara is under increasing pressure. A loss today could very well mark the end of his reign.

Hearts are currently seventh with 45 points, five behind Asante Kotoko, who sit fourth with 50 points after 29 games.

Historically, Asante Kotoko has dominated recent encounters, winning four of their last six meetings with Hearts of Oak, who have just one victory in that period.
