The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that Accra Hearts of Oak will play the remainder of their home matches in the 2025–26 Ghana Premier League season at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The decision follows the temporary closure of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium due to ongoing maintenance works. Hearts of Oak had initially started the season at the Accra Sports Stadium before moving to the university venue, where they hosted seven matches after playing their opening five home fixtures at their original base.

With redevelopment work now underway at the university facility, the Phobians have been compelled to return to the capital’s main stadium for the remainder of the campaign.

The development comes at a critical point in the season, with Hearts of Oak still in the title race. The club currently sits fourth on the league table, six points behind leaders Bibiani Gold Stars, with eight matches left to play.

Under head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, Hearts will play five of their remaining fixtures at home while traveling for three away games to conclude the season.
