Several luxury cars totaling around $524,000 were seen smashed in the streets of New York City after a failed heist attempt went rogue.
At least four vehicles were seen wrecked following a botched heist just before 6am at a parking garage on West 43rd street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan.
Video footage saw a 2025 white Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE P400, with a current sale price of around $95,000, caught stuck under the parking garage door.
The range rover became stuck after the attendant lowered the metal gate during the incident, New York Police Department officers told W42st.
Meanwhile, a 2023 blue McLaren Artura, roughly costing between $160,000 to $229,000 according to Autotrader, was left smashed and mounted on the sidewalk outside of a FedEx building.
A black Mercedes G-class AMG G 63 SUV, which is currently being sold pre-owned for around $180,000, was also caught up in the heist and abandoned in the road but appeared to not have been damaged.
Another car, a white 2018 Volvo XC60 currently selling for around $20,000, sustained damage to the driver side door and a smashed front windshield.
‘I came to pick up my car and I saw it on the street,’ Hassam Al G, who owns the Volvo, told the outlet.

‘I was surprised. There was lots of police activity. They told me there was a robbery inside the garage, and my car was severely damaged.’
‘I’m shocked,’ he added.
Police told the outlet that the suspects fled in a gray BMW which had not been stolen from the garage.
Several luxury cars had been targeted in what appeared to be a grand larceny auto operation attempt, but all vehicles were recovered, police said.
Forensic teams remained on the scene in the morning and no injuries were reported.
As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests were announced and it remains unclear where the suspects fled to.
According to one user on Facebook, the particular parking garage has been a target for car thieves before.
‘So thankful no one got hurt or worse. This has got to stop,’ they wrote.
‘It’s not the first time that garage has been hit. These guys know what cars are going in and out and when.’
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, according to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Public Information.
