League leaders Medeama SC will look to bounce back strongly when they host Aduana FC at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium following the end of their impressive 17-game unbeaten run.
The Mauve and Yellow suffered only their second league defeat of the season after a 2-1 loss to Nations FC in Abrankese, despite taking an early lead. Ibrahim Tanko’s side, however, remain firmly in control at the top of the table with 12 wins and seven draws from 21 matches, holding a seven-point advantage.
Medeama return to familiar territory where they boast the league’s best home record, having gone unbeaten in 11 matches with eight wins and three draws. They have also dominated recent home meetings against Aduana, winning four of the last five and keeping clean sheets in the last three encounters.
Second-placed Aduana FC, though, arrive in Tarkwa in solid form. The Fire Club are unbeaten in their last two matches and have emerged as one of the league’s strongest away sides, with four road victories this season. A positive result could significantly narrow the gap at the top.
Kick off is at 4:30 GMT and the game will be live on TV.
