The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has applauded the performance of his players in the team’s goalless draw against Bibiani Gold Stars in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors locked horns with the defending champions at Duns Park on Saturday, January 17, in their Week 19 league fixture of the ongoing 2025/26 campaign.
A disallowed goal very late in the match denied Asante Kotoko all three points as they shared the spoils with the hosts at full-time.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Karim Zito noted that he is satisfied with the result, arguing that the team’s game plan worked to perfection.
“Tactically, we came in with a game plan, and the game plan worked to perfection. If you look at how we played today and the way we played in Kumasi, there is a lot of difference in today’s game, and I’m very satisfied with the way the boys played today,” Karim Zito said.
The draw against Gold Stars leaves Kotoko in fourth position on the league table with 32 points, eight points behind league leaders Medeama SC.
