Renowned Ghanaian highlife musician, Nana Agyemang, has called on upcoming artistes to give back to the legends who paved the way in the industry.

Speaking with Giovanni Caleb on TV3, Agyemang called on these artistes to remain determined in their craft, stating, “They should not give up on their craft and remain hardworking.”

He added, “When they finally get to the level they want, anytime they get a show, they can give about 10 percent of their proceeds to the older artistes or the veterans who cannot perform anymore or who are sick or disabled.”

Nana Agyemang believes this act of generosity won’t just aid needy veterans but will also bring blessings and growth to the emerging artistes.

“When they do such little things, they will be blessed, and their careers will also grow,” he explained.

He stated this amid calls for more support for veteran creatives in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.

These calls intensified in 2023 and 2024 following stories of the plight of some iconic acts such as KK Kabobo, Psalm Adjeteyfio, among others.
