The General Overseer of Alabaster International Ministries, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has criticised Ghana’s security agencies amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the FBI’s arrest of several Ghanaian citizens.

In a video shared on X on June 23, 2025, Prophet Kofi Oduro, while preaching to his congregation, labelled them as incompetent.

He questioned how security personnel stationed in Ghana could remain unaware of large-scale fraudulent activities occurring under their watch.

“You’re in Ghana, yet your system is so flawed that another country can send officials, like the FBI, to come here and arrest criminals, while your own system can’t do that. And yet, you stand there and make noise,” he said.

Prophet Oduro also cited the case of Ghanaian-born U.S. Army Major Kojo Dartey, who was sentenced to 70 months in prison for smuggling firearms into Ghana, as further proof of what he described as a failed security system.

“There’s a Ghanaian who rose to the rank of Major in the U.S. Army and used his position to illegally import firearms into this country for four years—and no one in Ghana caught him. It was the American authorities who arrested him. Ghanaian security officials saw the illegal activities but turned a blind eye,” he added.

Prophet Oduro’s comments come in the wake of the FBI arresting several Ghanaian businessmen, Kofi Boateng (popularly known as Kofi Boat), Joseph Boateng (Dada Joe Remix), Inusah Ahmed (aka Agony), and others, for their alleged involvement in a $100 million fraud scheme.
