A former radio station employee is set to detail eight indecent assaults he says he suffered at the hands of Alan Jones while they worked together.

He is one of six men who allege talkback titan Jones kissed, groped or subjected them to sexual misconduct between 2003 and 2020 across Sydney and the NSW Southern Highlands.

The 85-year-old has pleaded not guilty to 22 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching without consent.

The station employee, the second complainant to enter the witness box, will begin giving evidence on Friday.

During her opening address, crown prosecutor Georgina Wright SC said the man had been employed by radio station 2GB at a time when Jones ruled the airwaves.

Ms Wright foreshadowed that the former 2GB staffer would testify that Jones had called him ‘darling’ and asked inappropriate questions about his genitals.

He is expected to tell the court the longtime shock jock groped him while he was driving without his consent on more than one occasion.

Ms Wright suggested the 2GB employee would say Jones kissed him without consent in the lifts at his Circular Quay home and at the radio station.

The veteran broadcaster is accused of indecently assaulting the staffer under the table at a crowded event.

She foreshadowed the staffer would tell the court he was worried his position in the media industry could be compromised if he overtly rejected Jones.

But the former Wallabies coach’s barrister Gabrielle Bashir SC accused the former 2GB employee of rewriting his history with the broadcaster.

‘Rivalry, treachery, double dealing, money, hatred, desperation, opportunism and more are at the heart of this case,’ Ms Bashir said in her opening address.

The first complainant, an athlete who met Jones when he was about 14, spent six days giving evidence in which he described nine alleged indecent assaults by the former radio king.

Jones has denied all of the allegations against him, which are said to have occurred during the latter part of his 35-year broadcasting career, when he was a dominant figure on Sydney’s airwaves.

He also broadcast to a national audience for years as a regular commentator on Nine’s Today show and a host of a political discussion show on Sky News.
