Big Brother Naija reality TV star Tochi has encouraged Nigerians and social media users to take ownership of their voices rather than wait for celebrities to speak on important issues.

In a post shared on his Instagram story, Tochi noted that many people delay speaking out because they expect public figures to lead conversations.
According to him, this mindset limits true collective progress because real change is driven not by a select few but by the collective voices of everyday individuals.
Tochi urged his followers to recognize the power of their own platforms, no matter how small, and use their voices to push for the change they want to see.
“People keep waiting for celebrities to speak before they find their own voice. That’s the problem. We keep looking for a “leader” when the truth is simple: every voice matters.
Change doesn’t come from a few people talking; it comes from all of us speaking up collectively.
Stop waiting for someone with a platform. Start using the one you already have. Your voice counts too.” He wrote
Below are some of the comments;
“How many views do we get? It would only be on our page, unlike you and your colleagues, whom blogs would repost.”
“This is a wrong take, someone with more organic followers of up to 1 million get way more reach in their platform than someone with 1k followers.“
“Celebrities have some leverage the ordinary voice doesn’t have. In case you don’t know what being a celebrity is, celebrities are taken more seriously than the common man, stop playing on people’s intelligence, bro.“
