Gospel musician Anita Afriyie has condemned Archbishop Salifu Amoako’s recent statements regarding the tragic incident involving his son, who carelessly rammed into a car, resulting in the deaths of two young girls.

Shortly after issuing an apology, Archbishop Salifu Amoako described the incident as an unfortunate event rather than a deliberate act.

In response to the tons of criticism, he defended his son, stating that no intentional crime had been committed.

This stance has not been well received by many Ghanaians, further deepening the grief of the bereaved families and fueling widespread criticism.

Anita Afriyie has added her voice to the intensified backlashes, labeling the Archbishop’s current stance as dangerous.

She has emphasised that the only way to heal the hearts of the victims’ families and the public is for the Archbishop to demonstrate genuine remorse and continue to seek for forgiveness.

She warned that if Salifu Amoako does not humble himself and continues to exhibit arrogance, the situation could worsen.

“Seek for forgiveness and stop messing up the case. You are the pastor, seek for forgiveness and seek for your wife. If you like do it, if you like don’t. It’s up to you. I don’t just get up to speak, God is telling me to tell you this.

“This is not time for arrogance, plead for forgiveness, else you will know no peace. Otherwise, those two girls will strike,” she stated in a viral video.
