Midway through his vetting, Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations-designate, Samuel Nartey George, was asked by the Ranking Member of the Appointments Committee, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, whether he had any sources of income aside from his parliamentary salary.

Afenyo-Markin asked, “Did you have the benefit of any secondary source of income?”

Sam George responded that his wife had been supporting him.

He replied, “Mr. Chairman, I am married to a very industrious woman.”

Afenyo-Markin then questioned, “If you say you are married to an industrious woman and that is your secondary source of income, what exactly do you mean?”

Sam George replied, “I mean my wife takes care of me.”

His statement about his wife taking care of him has since stunned netizens on social media, with many praising his public expression of gratitude toward her.

However, in the midst of this, media personality Berla Mundi has made it clear that this should not be seen as a standard for Ghanaian men to expect their women to take care of them.

“Dear Ghanaian men, don’t use Sam George as an excuse to force us to take care of you! ‘We no go gree,’” she stated on X.

Sam George, the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations-designate, appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on January 30, where he encountered long hours of thorough grilling by some members of the committee, particularly Afenyo-Markin.

Sam George should expect his approval in 2052 because Yehowa!!! Video evidence all come inside…. 🫢
