The Athletic journalist, David Ornstein, has disclosed that Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus has varying figures as a release clause in his West Ham United contract.

He indicated that the Black Stars forward has an 80 million euro release clause available for top European clubs outside of England.

The renowned UK-based sports journalist also revealed that Premier League clubs interested in the player would have to pay 85 million euros, while clubs from Saudi Arabia would need to pay a whopping 120 million euros for his signing.

However, David Ornstein did not provide clarity on whether Kudus will leave the Hammers or his possible destination if he decides to leave.

“It will be interesting to see what happens with Kudus. His deal contains a release clause. The clause is only active for the first 10 days of July and is valued at €80m for European clubs, €85m for PL sides, and €120m for Saudi teams…” he said, as shared by Transfer Sector on X.

Recent reports indicate that Kudus has been targeted by Saudi Arabian club AL Nassr as one of the players they want to bolster their attack.

Top European clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be interested in the player as well.

Despite the speculation, Kudus remains focused on finishing the 2024/2025 season well with West Ham before deciding his future.
