In the statement, which was signed by Charlyn Fosuh on behalf of the children of Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, who has been alleged to be behind a court case, the family expressed their desire to remain neutral in the ongoing legal proceedings concerning their father’s funeral and burial arrangements.

The release confirmed that while there is indeed a court case regarding the planned funeral arrangements, the children are not parties to this legal process and have no intention of being involved in any form of dispute or public controversy.
They also emphasized in the statement that their only wish is to honour their father’s memory in a dignified, respectful, and peaceful manner, befitting his remarkable legacy and contributions to Ghanaian music.

“We stand together as his children from all sides of the family, united in our love and respect for our father. At this difficult time, we wish to focus solely on celebrating his legacy and ensuring a fitting farewell,” a part of the the statement read.

The children also appealed to the general public, media, and social media commentators to exercise restraint and be respectful in their commentary regarding the family’s internal issues and the pending legal matters.

They further stated that their late father deserves a farewell that reflects the peace, dignity, and unity he valued in life.

This message comes amid growing tensions between Daddy Lumba’s legal wife, Mrs. Akosua Serwaa Fosuh, and sections of the musician’s extended family over the proposed December 6, 2025 date and venue of the funeral, which was reportedly announced without the consent of the wife and her children.
