Chipotle customers will be able to grab a half-off burrito on Halloween, as long as they’re dressed for the occasion.

The fast-food chain will offer $6 entrée items to all its Rewards members as part of its ‘Boorito’ special at participating restaurants nationwide on Thursday.

This deal means Chipotle Rewards members will be able to purchase a burrito for $6 instead of the average $12 price.

All Rewards members will need to do is walk into a participating location on the spooky holiday wearing a Halloween costume.

This deal will be a one-day only special, and Halloween enthusiasts can only redeem the deal in-store and not online.

Participating Chipotle restaurants nationwide will offer $6 entrée items to its Rewards members for its annual ‘Boorito’ deal on Halloween

Chipotle started its Boorito special in 2000 after throwing a successful burrito-themed costume contest.

The deal has only gotten more popular, and customers may occasionally sport burrito-themed costumes when looking to purchase their $6 entrée.

This year, all Chipotle Rewards members will only have to place their order anytime starting at 3:00 in a participating location and scan for Rewards during the sale.

It is only limited to one customer per sale, and the restaurant chain confirmed it would not be valid for kids rules, catering orders or third party ordering platforms, according to Boorito’s terms and conditions.

Any Chipotle Rewards members looking for modifiers like guacamole, queso, extra meat on all but veggie entrées should also be prepared to spend more than $6.

Customers still looking to partake in this spooky deal will have until closing time on Halloween at a participating US restaurant to purchase their $6 burrito or any other entrées.

All Chipotle Rewards members must wear a costume and purchase the food item inside a participating US location

Social media users weren’t too happy to hear about the ‘Boorito’ deal, and multiple X users claimed they remembered when everyone could get a burrito that day for anywhere between $0 and $3.

‘As a chipotle vet, i remember if you wore a costume the boorito used to be free,’ an X user tweeted after the offer announcement.

Another X user wrote: ‘BOOOOO yall so cheap now..what happened to the free Boorito when u came in dressed in costume.’

Chipotle customers on Instagram were just as frustrated with this year’s ‘Boorito’ deal, and one person insisted it was ‘not a deal at all.’

‘This use to be such an exciting day to go to chipotle. Use to be free (awesome), then went $2 in 2011, then went to $3, and now $6, so it’s basically $2 off a chicken burrito, barely enough reason to go now,’ an Instagrammer claimed.

‘I guess the portion sizes ain’t the only thing chipotles being skimpy on.’

Various X and Instagram users were not thrilled about the ‘Boorito’ deal due to the discounted items allegedly costing more money than in previous years

Chipotle Rewards members will be allowed to wear any costume they want, die-hard fans of the restaurant chain have the option to wear one of Chipotle’s signature costumes.

The collection consists of five costumes: Chipotle Fork, Chipotle Napkin, Chipotle Water Cup, Chipotle Burrito and Chipotle To-Go Bag.

The new collection was created through Chipotle’s collaboration with Spirit Halloween.

‘Our popular Halloween tradition, Boorito, began with a burrito-themed costume contest and now we’re taking it to the next level with the launch of our first-ever costume collection in collaboration with Spirit Halloween,’ said Chipotle Chief Brand Officer Chris Brandt at the time.

Customers in the US and Canada can purchase these costumes on Spirit Halloween’s website.

Select Spirit Halloween locations in Illinois, Colorado, New Jersey, California and New York are also selling them while supplies last.
