Questions are being raised by Blakk Rasta after Shatta Wale went public with claims of a GH¢100 million defamation lawsuit, with the media personality insisting that no official court process has reached him.

Speaking in a video shared on YouTube, the reggae artiste said that despite the lawsuit being heavily promoted online by Shatta Wale and his associates, he has not been served with any writ of summons.

Blakk Rasta pointed out that nearly 10 days had elapsed since reports of the legal action first surfaced, a delay he said makes the move appear more like an online spectacle than a serious court matter.

“Shatta Wale said he was taking Blakk Rasta to court. The court documents were already circulating in the media, yet Blakk Rasta has received no writ of summons. About 10 days have gone by now, no summons. Or is this a social media court case? Is it just hype?” he said.

He further challenged Shatta Wale over the lack of progress, particularly in light of the dancehall artiste’s public claims about having the financial means and legal expertise to pursue the case.

“He said he would use me as an example and that he has money to pay his lawyers. Shatta, you say you have money and good lawyers, let them serve me quickly. What are they waiting for?” Blakk added.

Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, was reported on January 19, 2026, to have filed the defamation suit against Blakk Rasta, accusing him of making statements he describes as false, misleading and damaging to his image.

In the writ of summons, the dancehall musician claimed the video at the heart of the dispute spread rapidly online, attracting more than 150,000 views on Facebook and over 27,000 views on YouTube within a day, in addition to thousands of reactions and comments.
