Presiding Bishop of Pottersville Church International, Bishop Samuel Ben Owusu, has recounted a remarkable leap of faith that led him to the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory.

Speaking on Behind the Pulpit with MzGee, Bishop Owusu shared how, despite having no passport, identification, or money, he embarked on a journey to Nigeria solely driven by a divine conviction to meet the renowned Archbishop.

According to him, the encounter began after he watched Archbishop Idahosa minister on GTV.

“It was during that time that I saw Papa Benson Idahosa on GTV, and the Spirit of God led me that this is your spiritual father. Go and look for him,” Bishop Owusu recounted.

He explained that after receiving the spiritual prompting, he informed his prophet, who granted him permission. Through this, he connected with a friend who had gained admission to Benson Idahosa University (formerly All Nations University) in Nigeria and was preparing to travel.

Although he had not secured admission himself, Bishop Owusu said his desire to meet Archbishop Idahosa was unwavering.

“I had not gotten admission, but I desired to see the man. So, I followed the guy to Nigeria by faith—without a passport. I did not have a passport, I did not have any form of identification, and I did not have money,” he said.

Bishop Owusu revealed that the journey took him approximately three months on the road before he finally succeeded in getting to Archbishop Idahosa, describing the experience as a defining moment in his spiritual journey and ministry.
