Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Didi Dramani has earned his place in the senior national team as the first choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars.

According to Didi Dramani, he disagrees with people who claim that his rotational policy as Accra Hearts of Oak will affect Asare’s chances in the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“Benjamin Asare has nothing to prove that he is Black Stars number one. He has shown it already. What he needs now is management,” Didi Dramani stated.

The Hearts of Oak coach praised Asare’s maturity, confidence and consistency, especially in high-pressure matches.

Benjamin Asare on Sunday, February 15, 2026, was voted as the Man of the Match for his performance in the Ghana Premier League Super Clash against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
