Ghanaian swimmer Nubia Adjei has been awarded an Olympic Scholarship as she intensifies preparations toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The scholarship, granted under the Olympic Solidarity programme, is aimed at supporting elite athletes with the potential to qualify for the Olympic Games. It provides funding for training, coaching, and participation in international competitions as part of their development.

Adjei’s selection is seen as a major boost for Ghana swimming, highlighting her growing status as one of the country’s promising talents in the sport. The support is expected to enhance her training conditions and exposure ahead of the qualification period for the Games.

The Ghana Swimming Association welcomed the development, expressing confidence that the scholarship will aid Adjei’s progress on the international stage.

The Olympic Solidarity initiative seeks to promote global representation by assisting athletes from developing nations to compete at the highest level.

Adjei now joins a list of athletes benefiting from the programme as Ghana continues its efforts to strengthen its presence at major international competitions.
