Bechem United continued their dominance at home in the Ghana Premier League with a commanding 3-0 victory over league leaders Heart of Lions at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday.

The matchday 16 fixture saw the Hunters bounce back emphatically after last week’s default defeat, extending their impressive winning streak to six games.

Darlvin Yeboah broke the deadlock late in the first half, capitalizing on a rebound after Lions’ goalkeeper Lawrence Osei failed to handle a free kick.

The home side doubled their lead moments before halftime when Emmanuel Abban punished a defensive lapse to give Bechem a comfortable advantage heading into the break.

The Hunters maintained their intensity in the second half, and Abban struck again in the 71st minute to seal his brace and an emphatic victory.

The result marked the end of Lions’ impressive eight-game unbeaten streak, leaving them with plenty to ponder despite remaining atop the league standings.

Bechem’s win catapulted them to fourth place, showcasing their growing momentum in the competition.

Meanwhile, Lions, though still in first place, now sit level on points with second-placed Bibiani Goldstars FC, adding further intrigue to the title race.
