The call by Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, the vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for Ghanaians to back the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its presidential candidate, John Mahama, is a true reflection of the country’s current political sentiment, according to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the NDC.

The fact that an NPP official urged people to support John Mahama, according to Asiedu Nketia, shows that the NPP believes in Mahama’s candidacy and the NDC’s outlook for Ghana’s future.

His remarks were spoken at a campaign gathering intended to interact with the residents of Walimbelly, which is located in the Upper West Region’s Sissala East Constituency. He sought to engage the local electorate and bolster the NDC’s message.

As the elections get near, he underlined that voters should pay attention to this message and concentrate their support on the NDC and Mahama.

Furthermore, Asiedu Nketia pointed out that even if Dr. Opoku-Prempeh has opted to support Mahama over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the leader of his party, this choice does not ensure that he would be the vice president. In addition, Kuoro Abdul-Rahman Bataah IV, the vice president of the Buli Paramountcy, said that Ghana is at a turning point and that the NDC is necessary to maintain peace and security.
