Asante Kotoko’s five young players from the U-20 side, the Young Porcupines, were handed the opportunity in their 2-0 win over Eleven Wonders in match-day 32 of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Bismark Ofori, Lawson Kyei, Takyi Addison, Anthony Kofi Duah and Abu Adams all featured in the game, providing coach Mohammed Hamza Obeng with plenty of positives to take from the encounter.

The young talents made their mark in impressive fashion, with two of them getting on the scoresheet. Lawson Kyei opened the scoring in the 36th minute, while Anthony Kofi Duah added the second goal in the 65th minute to seal the victory.

Lawson Kyei and Abu Adams started the match, with Takyi Addison, Bismark Ofori and Anthony Kofi Duah introduced as substitutes.

The performance marked the end of Asante Kotoko’s four-game winless run and offered huge encouragement for the future. These promising youngsters are now expected to push for regular places in the senior team from next season.

Credit goes to the technical team, led by young tactician Mohammed Hamza Obeng, for showing confidence in the Young Porcupines and successfully integrating them into the first team.
