English-born Ghanaian international Antoine Selorm Semenyo has officially been named among the nominees for the 2025/26 Premier League Player of the Season award following a sensational campaign in England.

The 26-year-old started the season with AFC Bournemouth before completing a move to Manchester City in January, where he continued his outstanding form in front of goal.

Semenyo further strengthened his case for the award after scoring in Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night. The goal also ended his six-game scoring drought in the league.

The 26-year-old is enjoying the best season of his career and has now registered 20 goal involvements in the Premier League this campaign, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 35 appearances. He currently sits as the third-highest scorer in the league.

The lank striker will battle for the prestigious award alongside stars such as Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes, Gabriel Magalhães, Morgan Gibbs-White, David Raya, Declan Rice and Igor Thiago.

The impressive performances from Semenyo are also expected to earn him a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the Black Stars continue preparations for the tournament next month.
