Sarkodie has opened up about the outpouring of support from fellow musicians ahead of his Rapperholic concert, which has been overwhelming, with some even stepping in to sponsor parts of the show.

Speaking on Lawson TV, the popular Ghanaian rapper disclosed that Shatta Wale was among those who personally reached out. Sarkodie admitted that he rarely asks for assistance, yet many of the performers volunteered to back him without being prompted.

“Almost all those who have heard about the event called me to include them. I find it difficult to call for help. But most of them told me that they want to support, for example, Shatta Wale reached out,” he said.

Detailing the level of support, Sarkodie revealed that Shatta Wale had stepped in through his SHAXI business, providing transportation for the event. “He started with SHAXI, so all the cars I am moving out with right now are for Shatta Wale. The ones that will convey the artistes to the event are all sponsored by Shatta Wale,” Sarkodie added.

Questions were raised about why Stonebwoy and Black Sherif are missing from the lineup. Sarkodie clarified that their absence was purely down to time constraints.

“Most of the artistes won’t be able to come because of the timing. We can’t say we will reach out to everybody,” he explained.
