Ghana international Alexander Djiku will not be available for Fenerbahçe on Sunday when they take on Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Fenerbahçe travels to Alanya without top defender Djiku due to a muscle injury he is currently carrying.

Djiku’s absence will surely affect Fenerbahçe’s defence when they take on Alanyaspor in the week 23 encounter.

The Black Stars defender was forced off with an injury as Fenerbahçe walloped Erzurumspor 5-0 in the Turkish Cup in midweek.

Djiku had to be subbed off in the 55th minute after picking up a muscle injury in the Cup competition.

The former Strasbourg defender, who has been an important player for Fenerbahçe under seasoned manager Jose Mourinho, hopes to recover in time to continue the campaign for his club.

    Below is Fenerbahçe’s traveling squad:

İrfan Can Eğribayat, Osman Ertuğrul Çetin, Engin Can Biterge, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Çağlar Söyüncü, Milan Skriniar, Levent Mercan, Sofyan Amrabat, İsmail Yüksek, Fred Rodrigues, Sebastian Szymanski, Mert Hakan Yandaş, İrfan Can Kahveci, Cengiz Ünder, Oğuz Aydın, Filip Kostic, Dusan Tadic, Anderson Talisca, Allan Saint-Maximin, Edin Dzeko, Cenk Tosun.
