The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has unveiled “Accra by Night”, a new initiative aimed at showcasing the cultural and creative heartbeat of Accra after dark.

Speaking at the launch on Thursday, May 1, 2025, she described the initiative as an exciting addition to Ghana’s growing tourism portfolio.

“It is an exciting addition to Ghana’s growing tourism offerings and a true celebration of our city’s distinct energy, culture, and creativity. Accra is a thriving hub for culture, creativity, innovation, and governance during the day. By night, it transforms into something equally magical, alive with music, food, art, and the authentic spirit of the Ghanaian people,” she said.

“The Accra by Night Tours initiative goes beyond a typical tour. It serves as a platform to highlight our creative economy at night, opening new opportunities for our visitors, artists, entertainers, and service providers. It aligns with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s vision of a 24-hour economy, which seeks to drive continuous economic growth and enhance the Black Star experience,” she noted.

Dzifa Gomashie also pledged her commitment to innovation and sustainability in tourism development.

“The Ministry is committed to innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity in tourism development,” she added.
