Following the massive turnout at Shatta Wale’s concert dubbed, ShattaFest, General Overseer of The Radiant Place (TRP) Chapel, Apostle Emmanuel Nkum, has declared that the Dancehall artiste is more popular than the President of Ghana.
Speaking to his congregation after the event, Apostle Nkum said he drew this conclusion after witnessing the overwhelming crowd that filled Black Star Square during Shatta Wale’s birthday celebration.
He noted that the massive number of attendees, despite minimal publicity from Shatta Wale’s team, was a clear indication of the artiste’s immense influence.

“I just realised that the President of Ghana is not as popular as Shatta Wale. For me, I was in Patapeezy, and I just shifted last night and joined SM because I said, ‘This is crazy. Me and Patapeezy, we both need help.’ The reason I’m making such a statement is because one person has fought all the media in Ghana, yet he is one of the most popular human beings, no billboard, no TV announcement, just social media and text messages. And I believe that more than 20,000 to 30,000 people are out there for just one young man’s birthday,” Apostle Emmanuel Nkum said.
On October 18, 2025, tens of thousands of fans trooped to the Black Star Square for the ShattaFest 2025, which doubled as a celebration of Shatta Wale’s 40th birthday.
The concert, which was free to attend, saw an unprecedented turnout that filled not only the entire square but also the surrounding streets.
The concert featured a lineup of artistes, including Sarkodie, Samini, Wendy Shay, Medikal, Kelvynboy, Amerado, DarkoVibes, Tinny, JZyNo, Kwame Yogot, and DopeNation, among several others.
The concert, which lasted through the night, ended around 7:05 a.m. on October 19, 2025.
