Perez Musik said gospel artistes face spiritual and physical attacks Perez Musik said gospel artistes face spiritual and physical attacks

Gospel singer Perez Musik has stated that both spiritual and physical attacks are a normal part of the gospel music industry.

His comments follow a recent revelation by fellow gospel artiste Cwesi Oteng, who said he experienced spiritual attacks early in his career.

Cwesi Oteng shared this during an appearance on Joy Prime TV, where he explained that some people targeted his music and albums spiritually because his style was changing the Ghanaian gospel music scene.

Perez Musik when asked about the attacks in the industry on Joy Prime TV’s Changes aired on July 15, 2025, Perez Musik shared his perspective on the issue.

According to him, such attacks, whether spiritual or physical, are not unusual for gospel artistes.

He explained that people often try to bring others down, especially when they don’t fully understand them.

“Attacks are normal. The attacks are many, some of them are physical, some of them are spiritual. Some people would slander you…When you are a mystery to people, they always try to figure out a way to get to you. So, sometimes it’s best to remain the mystery that they know you for because when you talk too much or you show too much you give them a lot to be able to get to you.

“Spiritually I would not say they attacked me, but those things happen. But I don’t focus on such things. He who lives in me is greater than he who lives in this world,” Perez Musik stated.
