No Ghanaian Gospel song released in 2025 comes close to “Aha Ye” by Diana Hamilton, according to entertainment analyst Arnold Asamoah Baidoo.

Speaking on Hitz Praise Zone on Hitz FM on March 1, 2026, Arnold acknowledged that other Gospel musicians also delivered notable songs during the year.

He particularly praised the push and coordinated efforts behind some of those projects, but maintained that “Aha Ye” stands apart from the rest.

“Piesie had one of the biggest songs. I wouldn’t deny that. She put in the work, the kind of PR machinery that she attached to the song. Incredible big ups to her, big ups to her husband, big ups to the entire team. But nothing beats Aha Ye in the Gospel fraternity,” he said.

Asamoah Baidoo emphasised that Gospel music is driven by a higher calling, not awards or chart rankings.

“At the end of the day, awards are not what we are looking for in the Gospel fraternity. There’s a bigger goal,” he stated.

He further pointed to the song’s rich spiritual intensity, highlighting the feature of veteran Gospel musician Elder Mireku.

According to the entertainment pundit, Elder Mireku’s calm and measured contribution carries an anointing that deepens the song’s impact.

He also commended the South African-inspired production, calling the sound moving and spiritually uplifting.

“When you hear the South African beat, doesn’t it give you chills? You are telling me that in a Gospel song, again, no disrespect, anything beats Aha Ye? No way,” he added.
