Parin FC is on course to win the Accra North District Football Association (ANDFA) Zone Two league after beating Desire FC 2-0 at the Police Deport Park in Accra.

It was a must win for Parin FC, if they had to keep their title aspirations on course, but not without a fight from Desire FC, whose position on the league table is not favourable.

With this, an intense battle was anticipated and this indeed reflected in the game, as both sides seek to undo each other with action swinging from one side to the other.

With no comprise, the first half ended scoreless.

On resumption, Parin FC coach Eric Nyarko made some tactical switches by moving Raphael Tetteh back to deep midfield and managed to dominate the rest of the game.

But the dominance was truncated as Clinton Amponsah indiscretion resulted in a second yellow card for him and led to a subsequent red card.

Reduced to ten men, but Parin FC was determined to win the day and this came through top striker Michael Ayertey, who capitalize a defensive mix-up to score the first goal.

Bent on securing an insurance goal, Parin pushed for more and again Ayertey’s constant raids in the defence of the opponents saw defender Samuel Etor directing the ball into his own net, thus recording an own goal.

Parin held on to the lead till close of the game.
