Zinedine Zidane visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University on Saturday, November 30, 2025, to launch a new season of the Adidas Campus Football Training Camp, drawing an excited crowd of more than 4,000 fans.

The atmosphere erupted when the World Cup winner performed his iconic Marseille Turn, the trademark move that once left elite defenders helpless on the biggest stages.

Zidane didn’t just perform for the crowd, he coached too. He stepped in as a mentor during a friendly match between SJTU and Qibao High School, offering live instructions, demonstrating movement, and guiding the young players with calm authority.

His presence alone elevated the game, and every tip he shared was greeted with cheers.

But the moment that captured the heart of his visit came earlier in the day, when Zidane joined a group of young children for a light-hearted kickabout as part of the training camp activities.

The mini-game quickly turned into a nostalgic showcase of pure flair: smooth dribbles, tight ball control, effortless turns, and a couple of brilliantly taken goals that drew gasps from parents and students watching.

Zidane looked relaxed, smiling throughout, yet every touch reminded fans that the 1998 Ballon d’Or winner still carries the elegance that defined his career.

His quick feet and trademark close control drew applause from the children, many of whom were playing alongside him for the first time.
